Franchisees And Small-Business Owners Are ?Heroes? Of American Economy
Tasti-D Lite CEO Jim Amos has built one of the better franchise organizations in America over the past number of years, and as we?ve blogged before, he has some really interesting ideas about how franchising can reimagine itself in 2012.
He?s had some interesting things to say about the role of franchising in today?s economy that I thought I would pass to you. Amos?s gut feeling is that the people who drive franchising - the entrepreneurs and franchisees - our the true heroes of our economy.
?Franchises and small businesses are the heroes of our economy,? he told CNBC.
After the citing number that said theat franchsing is resposnible for 9 per cent of the US economy he added: ?This is larger than any other two economic sectors combined.?
?Franchises and small business are people who understand what it means to make a payroll, that are impacted significantly by upward and downward trends and that often have their life savings on the line.?
You can watch the entire interview here. It?s a really positive interview on franchising that we hope people in Washington will pay attention to.
