Microsoft Security Essentials (MSE) is an amazing free anti-virus and anti-spyware tool by Microsoft. All genuine windows users may install the software for free and update it forever, also for free!

The software is quick, fast and offers real-time scanning. In comparison with other anti-virus, MSE has done well ranking among the highest scores and even bypassing some paid anti-virus solutions. The anti-virus interface is clean and unique and isn?t bloated with additional features that an end-user just doesn?t need. Customisation is very easy and options can be fine-tuned depending on a user?s preferences.

I believe that MSE is the best free anti-virus available right now for a few reasons.

1. It is free ? No need to pay monthly fees or yearly fees to protect your computer.
2. It is fast ? Microsoft have outdone themselves at creating a program that is both fast and works efficiently to scan a user?s computer. Resources are used well and you don?t have that ?slow? feeling when using your computer if you have MSE installed.
3. It has support ? There is a lot of free help available online for the product, there are a lot of Microsoft forums offering help and advice to users, making this product much more user friendly.

Today, I am using MSE on all of my computers at home. I hope that Microsoft branch out and make a full security solution which included a ?better? version of Windows Firewall.
